You're Invited: I Am Her Challenge
The I AM HER 100 Day Challenge: One Habit. 100 Days. A Whole Lot of Proof.
What could change in your life if you kept ONE promise to yourself for 100 days?
Not ten promises.
Not a color-coded 47-step morning routine that requires waking up at 4:13 a.m., drinking celery juice and becoming an entirely different human being.
One.
One small habit that the woman you keep saying you want to be does consistently.
And then you do it.
Again.
And again.
For 100 days.
Welcome to the I AM HER [100 DAYS] Challenge at Mermaid Walking Boutique.
This isn't another "new year, new you" challenge.
Actually, we're doing the exact opposite.
We're not waiting for January 1.
We're taking the final 100 days of 2026 and using them to prove to ourselves that we are capable of showing up, being consistent and keeping the promises we make to ourselves.
100 days. One promise. Let's freaking go.
What Is the I AM HER 100 Day Challenge?
The idea is ridiculously simple:
Choose ONE habit you want to add to your life and commit to doing it for 100 days.
You can begin on September 22, the first day of Fall, and complete Day 100 on December 30.
Or begin on September 23 and complete Day 100 on December 31, 2026.
That's it.
No complicated program.
No leaderboard.
No prize for being the most impressive person in the room.
And definitely no requirement that your habit involve losing weight, waking up earlier or becoming one of those mysterious people who genuinely enjoys kale.
Your one thing is YOUR one thing.
The bigger purpose of this 100 day habit challenge is to practice consistency.
To build trust with yourself.
To stop constantly saying, "I really need to start..."
And start.
Why 100 Days?
Because we're really good at waiting for a magical date to change our lives.
Monday.
Next month.
After vacation.
When things calm down.
January 1.
Except...have things ever actually calmed down?
Exactly.
One hundred days is long enough to require something beyond that initial burst of motivation, to really feel this IS who I am.
And that's precisely why we're doing it.
This isn't about feeling motivated for 100 straight days.
It's about showing up when you don't.
There will probably be a day when you're crushing it.
There will probably be a day when you're tired.
There may be a day when your kids are losing their minds, your inbox is on fire, you haven't washed your hair since who knows when, and the LAST thing you feel like doing is your habit.
That's where this gets interesting.
Because we're not trying to become women who only show up when conditions are perfect.
We're practicing becoming women who show up anyway.
Inspired by Do It for a Day by Mark Batterson
I'm reading Do It for a Day by Mark Batterson as we prepare for this challenge, and you're invited to read along with me.
The premise that drew me to the book is beautifully simple: meaningful change is built through what we repeatedly choose to do.
We tend to get excited about giant transformations.
But giant transformations have to live somewhere.
They live inside ordinary Tuesdays.
Inside the walk you take.
The page you write.
The prayer you pray.
The phone call you make.
The ten minutes you spend doing the thing you said mattered to you.
That's why the I AM HER 100 Day Challenge isn't asking you to completely change your life.
We're asking you to choose one small action worth repeating.
You don't have to read the book to participate in the challenge, but if you'd like to, grab a copy of Do It for a Day and read along with us.
The Real Challenge Isn't Doing Something for 100 Days
It's becoming someone you can count on.
Oof.
I know.
Because I'm doing this right beside you, not standing on some winners’ podium telling you how I got here.
I'm just your imperfect bestie saying:
"Okay. We said this matters to us. Let's actually freaking do it."
I don't want another planner full of things I intended to do.
I don't want to keep having the same conversations with myself.
And I really don't want to arrive at January 1 with another giant list of all the ways Future Me is finally going to get her act together.
I want receipts.
I want to walk into 2027 able to say:
Look what I did for the last 100 days.
I kept showing up.
I kept my promise.
I can trust myself.
I AM HER.
How to Choose Your One Habit
Here's where we're going to be tempted to screw this up.
We're ambitious women.
We think:
"If walking for 10 minutes is good, surely training for a half marathon while eliminating sugar, reading the Bible in Greek and launching a podcast would be better."
Nope.
Your goal is not to choose the most impressive habit.
Your goal is to choose the habit you're willing to actually do 100 times.
Ask yourself:
What does the woman I want to be do consistently?
Not what does she accomplish someday.
What does she do?
Maybe she takes care of her body.
Maybe she spends time with God.
Maybe she creates before she consumes.
Maybe she nurtures her relationships.
Maybe she works on the dream instead of endlessly talking herself out of it.
Maybe she reads.
Maybe she rests.
Maybe she keeps her house from making her crazy.
Maybe she puts her phone down.
Maybe she drinks some freaking water.
Now shrink that idea until it becomes simple, specific and succeedable.

Notice what's NOT on that list?
"Get healthy."
That's a goal.
"Walk for 10 minutes every day" is a habit.
"Grow my business."
Goal.
"Make one sales call every weekday" is an action.
Make your habit small enough that you know exactly what "done" means.
How to Stick to a Habit for 100 Days
Let's make this as easy on ourselves as possible.
1. Choose ONE Thing
Seriously.
One.
We're building evidence that you can trust yourself, not auditioning for the Personal Development Olympics.
2. Make It Almost Embarrassingly Doable
A 10-minute walk counts.
One page counts.
Five minutes counts.
You can always do more.
But your minimum commitment should survive a bad day.
That's important.
Because you're not designing this habit for your most motivated self.
You're designing it for tired-you. Busy-you. Traveling-you. Forgot-about-it-until-9:47-p.m.-you.
She's the one who needs the plan.
3. Define Exactly What Counts
"Exercise more" is fuzzy.
"Walk for at least 10 minutes" is measurable.
"Read more" becomes "read five pages."
"Work on my business" becomes "spend 15 focused minutes on my business."
Remove the daily negotiation.
4. Attach It to Something You Already Do
Make your new habit easier to remember by connecting it to something that's already part of your day.
After coffee → devotional.
After lunch → 10-minute walk.
After brushing your teeth → stretch.
Before opening Instagram → write 100 words.
The fewer decisions required, the better.
5. Track It
Put an X on the calendar.
Use a habit tracker.
Make 100 little boxes and color one in every day.
Keep the evidence somewhere you can SEE IT.
There's something incredibly satisfying about watching those marks accumulate.
Sassy, LOOK AT YOU.
6. Don't Make Perfection the Point
The spirit of this challenge is consistency and self-trust—not shame.
If something goes sideways, don't use one imperfect day as permission to throw away everything you've built.
Get curious.
Adjust.
Return.
We're practicing persistence, not perfection.
7. Let Us Help You
Doing something alongside other women changes the experience.
That's why we're doing this together.
Tell us your habit.
Share your wins.
Share the day you absolutely did NOT feel like doing it but did it anyway.
Encourage another woman.

The I AM HER Kickoff at The Clubhouse
We'll gather at The Clubhouse on September 21 at 6:30 p.m. for our Kickoff Party event.
We'll talk about ideas from Do It for a Day, creating habits that actually fit our lives, choosing a realistic commitment and preparing for the 100 days ahead.
But the event isn't the challenge.
The next 100 days are.
Can't come September 21?
You can still participate.
Read the book or don't.
Come to the kickoff or don't.
Just don't sit this one out because you can't do it "perfectly."
Finish 2026 Strong Instead of Waiting for 2027
This might be my favorite part.
We're so accustomed to treating the end of the year like a waiting room.
We'll start in January.
We'll get serious after the holidays.
We'll figure it out next year.
Nope.
We still have time.
Imagine reaching New Year's Eve and, instead of writing another New Year's resolution about something you hope you'll do, looking back at 100 days of evidence.
You didn't just say you wanted to be stronger.
You walked.
You didn't just say you wanted a deeper relationship with God.
You prayed.
You didn't just say you wanted to write.
You wrote.
You didn't just say the dream mattered.
You worked on it.
One day doesn't look like much.
Neither does one brick.
Keep laying them down.
Who Is "Her"?
That's up to you.
She's not some imaginary, skinnier, richer, more organized, more successful woman waiting for you at the end of a self-improvement project.
She's you.
She's the version of you who follows through.
Who trusts herself.
Who knows what matters and makes room for it.
Who stops stepping in and out of her own potential depending on how motivated she feels that morning.
You don't need to completely reinvent yourself in 100 days.
You need to start collecting evidence.
Evidence that you can begin.
Evidence that you can continue.
Evidence that you can keep a promise.
And when December 30 or December 31 gets here, I hope we don't stand together saying:
"Look who I'm going to become next year."
I hope we look at those 100 days behind us and say:
There she is.
Join the I AM HER [100 DAYS] Challenge
Here's all you need to do:
1. Choose ONE simple habit.
Ask yourself: What does the woman I want to be do consistently?
2. Make it specific and doable if you’re just intentional about it.
Something you can realistically do even on the messy days.
3. Start September 22 or September 23.
Start September 22 (first day of Fall) and Day 100 lands December 30.
Start September 23 and finish your 100th day on December 31 (New Years Eve).
4. Track your 100 days.
Give yourself the gift of seeing the evidence accumulate.
5. Let us know you're in.
We're doing this together.
If you want to read along beforehand, grab Do It for a Day by Mark Batterson. Whether you read it or not, join us at The Clubhouse September 21 at 6:30 p.m. for our inspirational & educational kickoff party. RSVP and details HERE!
But most importantly:
Pick your promise.
Because 100 days from now, I don't want you telling me what you're going to do someday.
I want you to point at the evidence and say:
I did it.
I kept showing up.
I kept my word.
I AM HER.
100 DAYS. ONE PROMISE. LET'S FREAKING GO.
